Julien Van Mellaerts is the sole Director of the company that imports and distributes Namida® Wasabi Spirit (a.k.a Wasabi Vodka) into the Oceania area of the world. In addition to that he is also a professional opera singer, music teacher for both piano and voice, trains 2 choirs and has won awards for conducting.

He holds several degrees and speaks a number of languages, including French, English, German and Arabic. He is well travelled and represents the Namida® Wasabi Spirit brand around the world. Michel Van Mellaerts ( aka The Wasabi Maestro )

Michel van Mellaerts started growing Namida® Wasabi in 1990. Since then he has promoted Wasabi to the world as a food, health supplement, cancer killer, and now as an alcoholic drink.

He holds a number of degrees and continues to develop new products and growing techniques for Wasabi. Recognised as one of the World’s leading experts in the growing, processing and uses of Wasabia japonica he acts as mentor and consultant to Julien.
